    This was fixed by the getopt patch applied to CVS.

    Cannot confirm that. With the getopt patch, option -D is
    unknown.

    AIDE from CVS 2003-11-04 includes the getopt patch, but
    still gives a segfault:

    # aide -D
    Segmentation fault

    # aide --config-check
    Segmentation fault

    Could also be a bug in mhash 0.8.18 depending on how that
    library must be initialized.
