I bought a card reader, JPower JP-IA680, but the software that came with it was not much good. Found better drivers from Realtek, the chipmaker, but still could not read my old SIM card, with 120+ phone numbers. Got and ran agsm (no install necessary) and after the PIN challenge, it read all phone numbers, and exported to my PC. This program is light. The EXE plus a couple DLLs weigh in at 180 KB. It read all my phone numbers and a couple old SMS messages too. Recommended. This was in XP, by the way. Don't think I'll bother trying in Win7; I've already got what I need.
