I loaded Netbeans on my Linux box as well and while the auto-complete works the Javadoc doesn't. When I right click on something and want to show javadoc it says it isn't found. I don't know how to load the javadoc for the JDK. Perhaps I'm not understanding how to load a javadoc to the IDE, but I'm following the help file the best I can.
