Solution: Google Chrome does not support applets

Some agileMantis users told us that they were unable to use the Expert Components with Google Chrome Browser. We figured out that it does not work in our development environment neither.

Chrome has a feature called NPAPI. The NPAPI feature has been disabled in the Chrome browser. It is responsible for loading the applet or other foreign api services like Microsoft silverlight. In other services like Citrix, Amazon Prime or Sky Go the problem may occur, too:

If you want to continue using agileMantis in the Chrome Browser, please follow these steps:
As of Chrome Version 42, an additional configuration step is required to continue using NPAPI plugins.
1. In your URL bar, enter:
chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
2. Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option.
3. Click the Relaunch button that now appears at the bottom of the configuration page.
