After playing several games I have noticed that the balance of tool age and bronze age units is not very good. The changes were designed to prevent Chariot Archer spamming in the Bronze Age. But as it turns out I have made the cavalry line too strong.

Version 1 was rushed to have something available for the community to try. Expect future upgrades to start to slow down as I do more testing before submitting release files. Also another point to make is that the decoded dat files will be included from now on. I forgot to add them in the initial release.

So if anyone has any ideas as to what to try, or how the units should be balanced, please let me know.

At the moment I am making sure the units that cost no gold ie too age units get some kind of beefing up so that in very long games without gold they can be used against towers or other defenses. This is why they got a +5 and +10 bonus to clubmen and axemen vs buildings.

Infantry archers are now anti mounted archer units. Like skrimishers in AOK. But they are still strong vs infantry.

Chariot Archers costing 60 food and 40 gold seems a little excessive for their value. This is because they do very little damage to cavalry line units now. I am thinking them may need to get a damage boost of +1 in the next patch.

Also higher infantry speed, lower siege speed and reduced catapault damage vs infantry and cavalry has weakened the Siege fairly I think in this patch. The balistas were left unchanged as they seem to be ok and have Catapaults as counter units.

Feel free to comment on the changes and express your ideas.
