Dear afuse list member(s?), I've been thinking that it would be cool to have a command to populate the root directory dynamically. Instead of a static or even empty list of directories in the root of an afuse mount, I implemented a 'populate_root_command=' option for afuse. It is up on github here: https://github.com/hsgg/afuse It also includes a tiny script "sshnet" that uses avahi-browse to populate the root directory with sftp service hosts. If git is too cumbersome or whatever, I can of course put it in a more convenient format for you. That being said, it seems afuse hasn't seen much activity. What's up? What are the alternatives? Sincerely, Henry |

There doesn't seem to be much activity on the SF page for this project, is it still "active"? It's a neat utility, but I was wondering if the following was possible: Instead of a virtual directory tree, can afuse be started on a single directory and auto-mount another fs to that same directory? Kind of like autofs' "direct-map" feature. This would be useful if you just want a single mountpoint to be auto-mounted/unmounted when used and you can't put a virtual root under it. B |
