Here is a huge patch for a redesign of the WAV reader to handle
different pcm audio formats. Right now it just supports WAV and RAW,
but can be easily extended for other formats that contain raw audio such
as AIFF, CAFF, W64, etc... If I ever decide to add compressed formats
such as FLAC, I have ideas for changing the structure again, but this
seems to work well for now.
The new commandline options are:
where <format> is one of u8, s16_le, s16_be, s20_le, s20_be, s24_le,
s24_be, s32_le, s32_be, float_le, float_be, double_le, double_be
-raw_sr # sample rate
-raw_ch # channels
It definitely needs testing before committing to SVN though, especially
on big-endian systems and with pipes on different OS's.
