server = OS X 10.6.6
client = ubuntu 10.10 with afpfs-ng 0.8.1

    I have the same problem: r--r--r-- on mac share is not readable on linux afp mount. The kid and did match on both machines and if I chmod u+w the file, then I can read it. (But as it is an svn generated file, it is overwritten with r--r--r-- permissions each time... so chmod u+w all my share isn't a solution)

    Fedora 12, afpfs 0.8.1, MacOS X 10.7 (Lion)

    Sorry kid and did should be read "UID" and "GID" (autocorrect problem...)
