#8 Inconsistent use of keys in the user interface

Inconsistent use of keys in the user interface,
hotkeys in the menu don't match the keys available from the interface.

Hotkeys should be consistent throughout the program,
if for example "F2 K" is pick color then "Control K" should be too.
where possible all actions should be achievable from both the menu and a "control" keystroke
This software should not use the ALT key, it doesn't have enough functions to require the extra keys,
and as mentioned in the help/docs on some systems the ALT key doesn't work by default.

Consistency in this will increase user acceptance, by speeding up the learning curve.
