I would say that a 1.0 of the core features will be ready in about a 2 months. After that we might still have some UI changes to make, but getting in all the various mail support for IMAP and MBOX and such as brutal, so most of the work has gone on under the covers. There will be a UI rewrite release next that will allow us to more easily integrate the plug ins. There is a tremendous difference in the stability and usability from beta to beta actually. Once the core features are done, then we would consider each new plug in a beta, but not the application. If you take it feature by feature I would say that the contact list and sticky notes sections are 1.0, however there are things I want to change for the UI, but it works and is stable. The mail system is now very good, it just needs an import mechanism, which is almost complete already.

Sounds great.
I'm really excited about Aethera, and what make me frustrated, is that after I saw Aethera for the first time (Beta 1), and after I saw TheKompany's proposal, I just can't see KMail anymore. I hate KMail now! ;-)
But I still use it at this time.
When will we get another beta?

Hi!
Do you have any schedule for the final release of Aethera 1.0 ?
Why is the development going to slow? The Betas are taking a long time to be released, and we don't see much difference from a beta to another.
You are doing a really good job, but I'm asking because I really want to use Aethera as my Mail Client.
Please, do not answer with the tipical "It will be ready when it is ready"
Regards,
Thiago

Hi,
I know it doesn't sound very well but the next beta will be when the new UI (KParts) will be ready.
