    Hi
I installed  aethera-1.0.2 on my suse-9.0 box. I set up an IMAP and POP3 account and I can receive mails on them but every time I try to send an email in the statusbar I get the following error message "Capabilities 220 Please to meet you" and off course the mail remains in the Outbox.
    What's wrong?
Also I tried to set up another POP account (mailbox.surfeu.de) but aethera refuses to comunicate with it. I use this account with kmail, thunderbird, etc. and I had no problems.

    Thanks,
    Ovi

      Hi Ovi,
I didn't ask in SMTP protocol for capabilities and it's waiting for other info than capabilities. So it's finishing the sending when it cannot get the right information.
I will fix it in the next release.
Let me know what SMTP server do you use.
      Thanks,
      Eug

It is a SMTP on port 25 no encryption supported (no SSL, no TSL).

      Hi
I just tried sending mails using the "localhost" (sendmail/postfix) and this works perfectly.
I was thinking if aethera could notify the user when new mail is available; a pop-up window or something similar!

      Servus,
      ovi

        Hi Ovi,
Please fill a bug (new feature) in our mantis system (http://www.thekompany.com/support/bugs.php3) so that you are sure I will not forget about it.
        Thanks,
        Eug

      Hi Eugen
I've notticed a strange behaviour in aethera when sending mails. Now I'm collecting mails from a POP server and sending them using the "localhost". If I send messages to someone outside of my domain it is OK, but when sending a message to somebody from my domain it remains in "Outbox" with the message "Waiting ForRcptToResponse response:450".
      Servus,
      Ovi

Is this a problem only with Aethera ?
Did you try other email clients ?
