AetheraInstall_1.0-030811.exe Windows installer is
misconfigured. I downloaded the file from multiple
mirrors and tried to install on WinXP SP1 and it comes up
with an error of invalid command line option. I tried to
extract the contents of the file to a folder, but running
it from there did not work since it was not installed
correctly. Is this just me? Or has this Win3x executable
been bogus for the past 23 days. There has been lots
of hype about the Windows version and yet I can not
install it due to the installer error.

I do not agree :-), as I have a W2K machine and the
installation still does not work. When I launch the exe, I
get the following message : <br><br>"This installation
package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists
and that can access it, or contact the application vendor to
verify that this is a valid Windows installer package".<br><br>
My machine is up to date with the latest patches and service
    packs (SP4).

The only thing which is not up to date is my Internet
Explorer, which is still 5.5 (SP2), and not 6. Maybe the
error is related to that ?

    regards
    dirkp

I've just managed to install Aethera with little trouble on a
W2K box running IE 5.0 (couldn't find one with 5.5).

To be honest I would grab the installer again, it sounds like it
might have been corrupted during download or something.
