Because the GNU ftp server alpha.gnu.org has recently been cracked,
all the files were wiped out. This renders our build env setup scripts
useless for a while. After reporting this to the classpath team,
they have now restored the classpath 0.04 package on the alpha ftp
server. I have taken this opportunity to update the setup scripts
so that it installs more up-to-date versions of the build tools, and
also to verify that aegisvm interoperates properly with classpath 0.04.
These setup scripts download, compile and install all the tools
necessary for developing aegisvm and libjpr. They have been tested
on the x86 Debian machines from the SF compile farm and also on my
Mandrake Linux 8.2 box. To save time and to stay current, please
try out these scripts.
