Hi,
since a short time i found this app and it is awsome !
It is running now on my NAS and i just missing a feature wich would make the monitoring for shutdown more granular. On "Shutdown --> Connection" there are only 2 Boxes to hit. Activate and LAN Connection. I'm using the cloudstation, WEBDAV and accesss over HTTP/S. I know that cloudstation is integrated with the "activate box" but when i'm only hit the box "activate" the Synology DS will never shutdown because someone is most time at home and connected via cloudstation. Or i'm getting to work and connect via wifi to cloudstation/Synology DS.
It would be awsome when there where an opportunity to check additional to "LAN Connection" the webdav, cloudstation and HTTP connection (An Idea would be to check the Port).
Many Thanks !

    Hello,
please test the following package. It should work as you wish.
Later, I'll redesign a bit the UI because the text area for ports is really too big ...
But this needs time and will ...

Hello, please test the attached package and tell me.
Seems like the module was not compatible with older Perl (5.8.x) running on Synology boxes (I do the development on Linux with a more recent version).

Odd. Could you send me your configuration file (/var/packages/Adv.../target/store/config/default)

    Hi,

ok, this is from the working version "advpowermgr-3.2-3.spk". Do you need it additional from the newer "nightly" version?

    Additional Info:

I uninstalled the app and then installed the new one. So that there was an default config.

So it appears that the issue you encounter pops up while there is still no configuration. This is very strange since the failing code gets executed only once shutdown time has been reached.

Could you issue a "/usr/bin/perl -v" from NAS command line so that I can compare with the one used on my NAS and Linux box (which both work).

The package is ok on my NAS which uses perl 5.8.6.
I think your issue will need deeper debugging.
Could you please, after uninstalling, make sure that there is no /var/packages/AdvPow... directory, then install release 3.3-1 which is to be found in Files/release-3.

Hi, after uninstalling the folder "/var/packages/AdvPow" is not there. Completly deleted. I have dsm 4.3. Could this be the problem?

Question: Do i have to activate the checkbox "activate" or is it enough to enter a port in the list?

  • Renaud Métrich

    Renaud Métrich - 2014-08-19

Yes. The Activate option is useful when disabling temporarily the functionality.

    Hi Renaud,

i cannot say that this works. I have a WebDAV connection open (VIA Netdrive) on port 5006.
    The activate checkbox is unchecked.

But the DS shuts down on defined time.

    Best Regeards, Kurt

My previous message was confusing. You must check the Activate option for the plugin to be taken into account.
Then, you may monitor the result (once shutdown time is reached) using the Monitoring page on the Welcome screen or by reading the log file (in a terminal, tail -f /var/package/AdvancedPowerManager/target/store/log).

    Hi,

with the active checkbox checked i can see several connections.
But neither in Welcome --> Connections or in the log i can see wich they are?!

    09:07:17 | INFO | Daemon | :Connections | There are 2 connected hosts
09:07:17 | INFO | Daemon | PostShutdown | Plugin 'connections' next check will be performed at '2014-08-21 09:08:17'

When i define several ports and actice checked:

5000 - for access over http
    5005 - WebDAV HTTP
    5006 - WebDAV HTTPS
    80 - Photostation open
    443 - other wensite open

i get no connection in Welcome --> Connections.

    09:23:00 | INFO | Daemon | Scheduler | Evaluating plugin 'connections'
    09:23:00 | INFO | Daemon | :Connections | There are 0 connected hosts

    1194 - OVPN Connection

Am i doing anything wrong in configuration? It seems that WebDAV Ports and 80/443 never monitored, with active checked and/or defined ports.
