Hi all i am running the tool from synology on my ds3612.
But powering off is no problem but it won't turn on again.
How to solve this?
Here is a screen shot of the log.
It says after the shutdown worked program wake up at 1974-06-21 at 21:00.
So i guess there is something going wrong. http://i62.tinypic.com/kap8p.jpg

I have 3 Synology units:
One DS713 for production and one DS111 and one DS713 for backup purposes. They all run the current DSM version 5.1-5004
The two Synology running the backups have both installed “Advanced Power Manager” and both have a setup regarding turn on and shutdown.
Looking in the “Power Schedule” and “Task Scheduler” in the DSM at the two Synology, the setup/entries is identical.
But only the DS111 turns on due to the schedule. The DS713 does not get alive.

Any news on this?
I own a DS214play and have exactly the same problems.
I tried with the built-in power-on/power-off function of DSM, and this works!!
So, it seems that with the update to DSM 5.1 (before APM worked flawlessly for me) something was changed internally that has partially broken the functionality of APM. I am not a programmer, so it is difficult for me to figure out, but I would love if somebody could take a closer look on this. I like the flexibility of APM, in contrast to the built-in power-off that shuts down, no matter if somebody is still accessing the Diskstation.

I'm having the same issue, and I'm starting to get a little annoyed with it enough that I wanted to investigate a bit more and came across this thread. I also believe that DSM 5.1 has caused some issues with it.
I love APM for the shutdown capabilities as well - it's awesome. I have also tried uninstall / reinstalling the application to no avail.
If there are any logs we can post, (not sure exactly where they would be) I would be more than willing to help.

I finally got it solved by adjusting the energy saving settings to of in the bios of my msi motherbord and turning on the wake on pci/pci-e rule in the bios.
Try to adjust those settings in youre bios as well.
Now it starts up to every time you(i) want.
Love this tool for my syno.
It even runs on xpenology.

No one with an answer?
There is the report that it/s waiting to restart on 1-1-1974?
Don't know where that time is coming from
same problem here - the NAS is going down as scheduled but is not waking up.
Is there anyone who knows why this is happening?

This thread seems related as well https://sourceforge.net/p/advpowermgr4ds/discussion/bugs/thread/4d9d78dc/?limit=25
I am going to attempt to retrieve logs soon and post them here, if time permits.
