Hi
I am running DSM 4.3 Beta on a DS210j, logged in as "admin"
I installed the package and got an error message saying that I needed to be logged in as "admin"
Thanks for your help

Please install the package in attachment. It should put a trace in the log file "check_authentication: ..." that will likely help me resolve the issue.
The log file is to be output through the package information panel, or via a terminal in /var/packages/AdvancedPowerManager/target/log)
So I logged in from my phone and tried it, and it works just fine from my phone! But when I log in from the computer it gives the admin error...strange!!
Also, just realize that 4.3 has been officially released. Updating now and will check the after to see if that fixes this admin issue

Hmm, nothing in the log. Hopefully with the official DSM 4.3 release out, I'll upgrade in the next days and provide a fix.
I already upgraded to beta releases in the past but got sometimes big troubles so I don't do that anymore.

Found on the synobox website (synobox.fr.nf), it seems this is a known issue with DSM 4.3 and workaround is currently to deactivate an option:
There is a known bug in the new DSM 4.3 beta, which prevents SynoBox user >interface to work.
Thanks to nicouchot, who spent 1.5 hours with me working on this, we now know >why…
This is due to the DSM authentication mecanism for 3rdparty applications, >which has been enforced and doesn’t work anymore.
This is a known Problem. A temp. solution is to disable the new DSM >Security Option “Improve protection against cross-site request forgery >attacks”.
Users who have upgraded to this new beta need to deactivate this option:
open the Control Panel in the DSM
click on “DSM Settings”
go to the Security tab
uncheck “Improve protection against cross-site request forgery attacks”
logoff DSM, close your browser, open your browser, log in

Just letting you know the fix works, but logging out of the browser alone didn't do it, I had to reboot the synology box altogether for it to start working within my browser.
Thank you for this great program and for taking the time to help me!

I have recently upgraded to the official release of DSM 4.3 and have started facing an identical problem. Just wanted to check by when do you think a final fix would be available? Thanks

I was waiting for the DSM 4.3 to be available for my DS209+II, but it seems there won't be any.
Please use the debug build in this thread for now.
Note that this build removes the admin/non-admin protection, so any user (including guest) will be able to change the settings.

I'm having the same issue as well. The above file should fix the problem or just generate the log so you can see what's causing it?
It's also an ugly fix. Please tell me.
It doesn't work for me, it still asks me to log in as admin even though only the admin account is enabled and being used.
Strange. Could you please dump me the log file (/var/packages/AdvancedPowerManager/target/log).
