Advanced Random Generators has been updated for what I envisage to be the last time. I fixed a security hole, and now, I'm moving on to better things?
When I wrote the Advanced Random Generators, Mafia Scum Tools packages a couple of years ago, I was very inexperienced, and was merely creating a useful tool for a friend. Recently, however, I have become aware of a major security hole which I have left in the software, which is present in all Mafia Scum Tools versions. For more information, please see here:
I have just ordered my CPU, and provided my motherboard does not fry it, I expect to be back within the week.
Let's get this cart rolling again.
As sad as I am to say this, all releases that are currently pending have been delayed. These include- mafia-1.3, shell-1.0 and other versions. This is because my CPU has died, and I may not be able to get another one for a while.
I have just released the second Release Candidate, which fixed a major flaw php compatibility in the first Release Candidate. Could all testers please test this release.
This fixes most bugs, and it also makes it interopable with random generator shell.
Due to the requirements of the Project Shell, it will be necessary to update the mafia scum tools random generator and web site. Please bear with me as I update mafia to 1.1.
I have just uploaded Random Generator Shell - 0.81 onto the server. It provides a common UI page to access all of the random generators.
Before August/September is out, we intend to release a new update to mafia scum tools, and the generic shell.
The web site is now functioning correctly.
Mafia Scum Tools, an advanced random generator, is now hosted successfully at adv-random-gen.sourceforge.net.
