I have attempeted to intall Java 6 legacy with no luck. I have unstialled Jave 8 from my system. Still says a newer version of this package is already installed.

Good deal; ADTPro shouldn't be "asking" for anything to be installed. It requires java, but doesn't have any need for a particular version as long as it's farily recent. So whatever your computer supports will suffice.

Pardon my confusion - why would you want to install Java 6?
