AdPlug ARM-iPaq status

       Hello, everybody,
I have 2 news. One of them is good, another is bad :-)
1. Adplug + Adplay compile and run on ARM platform (I've got iPaq 3970)
2. It's too slow to run acceptable.
Second point confuses me most. I've got scummvm running on the same 
Familiar Linux with adlib emulation sound great. Where's the bottleneck? 
Any ideas?
