You need a standard.bnk (all lowercase) file in the same directory.

Nope. AdPlug should be able to handle these.

If it still doesn't work, even with the standard.bnk file, could you
please also send some of your files to me? I'd like to see what's
screwing AdPlug up.

Concerning your mac problem, i'm seeing similar failures on a Sun Sparc
as well, lately. As there were no problems earlier with AdPlug, neither
on Sparc, nor on Mac, i'm guessing it could have something to do with a
newer version of the libstdc++ or a newer gcc. I'm working on that right
now.
