Hey, Have we ever made any progress on learning more about the Loudness format? That's one that I'd still be a huge fan of getting added. Maybe we could contact 3drealms (did the use it in that one ... space ship game..) or someone who used it in one of their games to get more information. What games do we know that used it? I know Fuzzy Golf and Dig-it by "Pixel Painters" both used it. And unfortunately, Pixel painters dissolved years ago, and despite many efforts on my part, I've never been able to track down the original owners. (Michael and Teresa Repasy). As I've always wanted to 1. know more about Loudness, and 2. make a linux port to the game Fuzzy Golf. The only other game I know of is that "space ship game" that "might be by 3drealms / apogee" but I can't remember what it was called. The fellow who made the "rdosplay" program was also able to support it. But I've never had luck contacting him either. I also think he may have just swiped assembly code from one program and dropped it into his, but that's just a guess. Anyone else know any other information about this format? Game makers who used it, etc? Or anyone know reverse engineer types, or dissasemblers who feel like wasting time deciphering a adlib sound file format? Phil |
