Everyone, All of your contributions of late have been great - and I wanted to apologize for the lack of a "heads-up" on the 1.0.3 release. I was driving to get our internal and external releases in sync and neglected to inform all of you of the plan. It would have been good to get more of your changes into the final build. Inside Adobe, ASL is now included in a significant number of projects and as such my team needs to be a bit more predicable on releases and build schedules. What I would like to do is release the first Thursday of each month (this gives us the M-W to stabilize and F to address any issues we missed before the weekend). As the library matures we'll likely back off to releasing less often, but for now my feeling is once a month is about right. We'll also be working to do more frequent builds and smoke tests - targeting (at a minimum) XCode 2 (gcc 4), MW 9.4, and Visual C++ 7.1. Any suggestion on getting this going would be appreciated (the ideally would be automated, continuous, builds on each submit - but we may start with nightly builds). Thanks again, Sean |
