Yeah, that fixed it (and shows how well I can count pixels!).
Hopefully this can be moved into the window metrics for the next
release, as it probably also has a similar effect on Windows.
I also just checked in the two utility functions for writing external
widgets and updated FLTK code (which means that I should have less
merging to do in the future, assuming that they're both good).
