Bugs and Features item #3245464, was opened at 2011-03-26 01:07 Message generated for change (Settings changed) made by jakubvrana You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1127745&aid=3245464&group_id=264133 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Common Group: 3.2.2 >Status: Pending Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Lopata (lopata) Assigned to: Jakub Vrána (jakubvrana) Summary: Strange export filename Initial Comment: When I browse the data in a table or check its structure and then decide to export the database I naturally click "Export". The checkboxes are set only to export the structure and data of the table I just checked out which is the expected behavior. However if I select all the checkboxes to export the entire database and then download the sql file, it's named after the one table even though it contains the entire database which is rather strange. It made me re-export multiple times before I realized what was actually going on. I propose changing the naming convention to reflect the content of the file. In this case naming it after the database would do the trick but if I decided to export only a part of the database, Adminer would still name it after the one table but in that case it would be much harder to name the file accurately. I just wanted to report this behavior which is in my opinion strange and should be changed. Thanks for this awesome library, by the way ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Jakub Vrána (jakubvrana) Date: 2011-05-16 15:23 Message: Please suggest the expected naming convention. Should the filename contain all the table names (e.g. 20 of them)? Or should it be simply the database name if there are at least two tables selected? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1127745&aid=3245464&group_id=264133 |

Maybe something like"databasename_part.sql".
