Sometimes the changelog might fail to register some transactions, it's extremely weird but still happens. We'd been told it migh happen becasue of failures on the connection. Failures in the change log, and hence in the audit are unaceptable.

Case in point, we have 14 weight tickets that were changed manually. The value of a field in all tickets were changed from possitive to negative by the supervisor, because the personel selected the wrong document type (input instead of output). Anyway, when we audit the tickets with the change log, 13 were ok, but in 1 the change log didn't showed up the manual changes by the supervisor and still showed up the value as negative, even when the ticket showed the value as possitive.

Is there a way to verify every transaction and see if the change log corresponds with it? Because I fear that just as we saw this in one out of fourteen, there might be a large ammount of change logs with missing records and if that's so then there's the need to do something about it.

Maybe is not the system per se but something on our network, but in either case the doubt has already been implanted and now managment want's to know.
