ADbNewsSender 3.0.0 brings the following changes:

• Images can now be uploaded and selected when composing newlsetter issues.
• Redesign of the address import management.
• Redesign of the class structure.
• Using mysqli API instead of the depricated mysql API.
• Upgraded tinyMCE to version 4.2.2.

ADbNewsSender 3.0 supports PHP 5 starting from version 5.3.
Support for PHP7 will be added in ADbNewsSender 3.1.

Today, ADbNewsSender 2.4.0 has been released and brings the following new features:

Newsletter encryption functionality
Encrypts e-mail- and ip-addresses of confirmed and unconfirmed subscriptions.

Management for smtp servers
Manage multiple SMTP servers. SMTP servers can be prioritized, so that an other smtp server can be used if the connection to a higher prioritized smtp server fails.

Notification mail management to modify notification mails in the admin area
Notification mails, such as confirmation e-mails, can now be managed in the admin area directly.

The main development phase of the upcoming version 2.4 has been finished.
Now ADbNewsSender 2.4 has reached the beta test status.

If necessary, a second beta test version will be released on 2013-07-22.
The first release candidate is planned for 2013-08-03, while the release of the is currently planned for 2013-08-17.

In this development version, a new notification mail management has been implemented.
It allows to manage notification mails, such as confirmation e-mails and expiration e-mails in the admin area.
Unfortunately, the support for Oracle databases must be moved to later versions, because of performance problems with the PHP OCI8 drivers.

Today the support cycle for ADbNewsSender 2.1 ends.

To receive further support and/or updates you should upgrade to version 2.2 or 2.3.

Of course the installations of 2.1 versions will continue to work.

Users who wish to receive support and/or updates after this date, should upgrade to the latest 2.1 or 2.2 version.

Today, ADbNewsSender 2.2.0 has been released.
It brings some performance improvements as well as new features.
One of the new features is the SendQueue, which allows to dispatch a newsletter issue either during the next maintenance run or with a delay between one and 48 hours.

Today i have released the first Alpha test version of the upcomming 2.2 version.

It contains the following changes:

• Added openWYSIWYG as alternative WYSISWYG-editor.
• Read configuration settings can now be cached.
• Objects that are widely used in the admin area will now be stored in session.

As previously announced, the support for ADbNewsSender will end at January, 1th , 2011.
To receive further support, you should migrate to ADbNewsSender 2.0 or 2.1.

Today, i proudly announce the release of ADbNewsSender 2.1.0.
The new version brings the following new features:

Some API and performance improvements
Integration of the import and export tool into the admin area.
Added a possibilty to set a default newsletter. The default newsletter will be selected when starting a new admin area session and if a visitor access the subscribe/unsubscribe page if no other newsletter was (pre-)selected.
Added a possibilty to copy drafts from one newsletter to an other.
Added a possibilty to pause the newsletter sending process each after a number of sent messages to avoid queue problems at some shared hosting providers.
Added a request handler for the admin area to separate the request parameters virtually into different scopes.
Added a possibility to use a selected time zone instead of the server default.
Added a session handler for the admin area to separate the session variables virtually into different scopes.
Correction of some typos in the database structure and folder names:
-The folder "/protected/localisation/" has been renamed to "/protected/localization/"
-The mailinglist tables has been renamed from "ADBNS2_Maillinglist_[NewsletterID]" to "ADBNS2_Mailinglist_[NewsletterID]".
Upgraded tinyMCE to version 3.3.9.
*Added a "please wait" message to the nl sending page.

A main version now receives support for at least 2 years or until 6 months after the release date of the successor if the release date is later than the default end of support date. After the release of the successor, the update support only contains fast updates.

Added a request handler for the admin area to seperate the request parameters virtually into different scopes

The second Alpha test release for the upcoming version 2.1 will be released on Thursday (2010-07-22).

It will introduce a new request handler in the admin area.
This request handler provides (like the session handler) the usage of virtually separated scopes for module related, newsletter related and newsletter & module related request parameters.

The release will also contain a lot of bug fixes for bugs found in the Alpha 1 version.

ADbNewsSender 1.5 will now be supported until 2011-1-1.
The fast update support now only contains updates for security related and blocker bugs. E-mail support and support via forums will be continued as normal.

Today, I have released the address export tool for ADbNewsSender 2.
It exports all mailinglist entries of a specified newsletter into one or more files.

Today, at the fourth anniversary of the ADbNewsSender project, i am proudly announcing the release of ADbNewsSender 2.0.0!

The development has begun in may 2008 and lasted more then one year.

ADbNewsSender 2 supports multiple newsletters inclusive their own mailing- and pendinglists, configtables, archive and drafttables.

It also supports now PostgreSQL.

As announced before, it is not possible to upgrade from 1.x versions.
Instead you can use the Tool "1.x import" to migrate to ADbNewsSender 2.0.... read more

Because sourceforge.net is currently removing the old wiki software (wikispaces) and migrating the ADbNewSender Wiki to the MediaWiki software, it is not available at this time.

I am sorry for any inconveniences but I'm sure, this will be finished soon.

The Release Candidate 4 fixes 3 small bugs and changes a default setting.

The release of the stable version is scheduled for 2009-07-31.
