    So I have a problem...
Trying to extend the AD schema but can't because i had AD4UNIX.
So now i have promoted the domain and forest to 2k3 functional level so that i could defunct some entryes.
Realised that i can't do so because they are owned by system.

    does anyone have a clue?

    thanks

I have found after lot's of search in google and ms newsgroups that microsoft does offer a hotfix to solve this matter because MS Services For Unix 2.x also messes with these same objects, therefore if you have access to MS Enterprise support go ahead, if you don't give me a call and i'll send it to you.

        cheers

I don't have access to MS Enterprise support so it would be
great if you could send it too me.

Some of our users are still using AD4Unix will the hotfix
      break it?

      Thanks for the help

I got the patch form M$, I have no idea if it works.  But they said it was not downloadable because it has not been regression tested.

I will post back if it kills my AD ;)

        I have the same problem.
Did the patch form Microsoft helped?
Any problems after applying the patch?

        Regards,
        Pawel

I believe it will, although you might get away with backing up user data using ldifde or cvsde, then applying the patch and after it blows up you apply the ad4unix extension again and use ldifde/cvsde to get the data of those users back online.

      cheers
