In the current version (2.0), a license (even an eval license) is dependent on the user's hardware, so your user MUST register. Perhaps in the next version, we'll think about how to provide trial periods without a license. For now, you can try one of the following options: 1) create a separate demo version of your app that uses lockToNone in your application settings, and ship, within your setup, a license that expires on a specific date 2) just display a NAG screen when Acquire() fails, but still allow them to use your product --Thanh Ed Vergara wrote: >How would I go about generating a license file (or alb?) for anyone to start >usiong for a trial period qithout having to register. >My question is how to generate a liberation key without having an >installation code? > >Thanks, > >Ed Vergara >Ancilla Software, Inc. >Rutgers Camden Small Business Incubator >1000 Atlantic Avenue; Suite 512 >Camden, NJ 08104 >(856) 966-9200 >(856) 225-6399 (fax) > >eve...@an... >www.ancillasoftware.com > > |
