Initial Comment:
At step 4 in the ActiveLock 2 tutorial, a message box 
will appear stating that there is no valid license.  

This does happen, but my main form opens up 
immediatley after that.  Is this correct or am I doing 
something wrong.

I have not gotten past that point b/c it seems that it 
would not let the form open.

Yes, but only because that's the way it's programmed in the
tutorial. Instead of (and in addition to) that message box,
you could just as easily program the application to terminate.
