Hello David, There's been no update because we've all been pre-occupied with a little thing I'd like to call "a job". Gone gold? Hardly. We're not even at beta. There's been a few bug fixes and minor enhancements, and a new 2.0.5 release is way overdue. I've been meaning to post it, but I've just been too busy. Hopefully, this weekend...you'll just have to wait and see. - Thanh David Hankins wrote: > Hello > > I’m looking at the message boards and I see that there have been no > posts since the first of the year. > > Is this because there are no bugs and Activelock has gone gold? > > Or has interest in the project gone south? > > I’m interested in using the AL 2.0 but I’m not really sure what the > status is. Is there a compiled .ocx for the new ActiveLock 2??? I am using VB.Net = and the conversion to .Net for the code in the Alpha 3 release is = unreal. Could someone compile and send me the resulting .ocx or do I need to = install VB 6 on this machine and go about it that way? Thanks. |

Hi Joshua, Why do you have to convert ActiveLock to VB.Net? You should be able to import COM libraries into your VB.Net application and use it as-is. I think our tutorial even shows you how it's done...simple matter of adding the reference to the ActiveLock2 library. - Thanh Joshua Foulk wrote: > Is there a compiled .ocx for the new ActiveLock 2??? Dear Sir/Madam. =20 A quick question regarding ActiveLock 2. I notice that the license file and object model contains the ability to store a maximum number of users as part of a license. However the Alugen program seems to have no way of generating a license that contains this user information. How would I go about doing this ? =20 I would have preferred to have logged this information on your message boards, however I've been waiting for an email confirmation all day now and nothing's turned up despite checking that the email address I gave is correct and requesting a number of confirmation re-sends. Is there a problem with the message boards at the moment or is this problem only occurring for my user (AidanD) ? =20 Regards =20 Aidan =20 Aidan Dickson Corporate Enabling Technology |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Aidan, The MaxCount property in the license file there for future use (2.1 perhaps). It is intended to be used for multi-user licensing, but is not yet being enforced. About the message board, the team member in charge of administering it seems to be on permanent vacation, and I no longer have the time to monitor 2 mailing lists as well as the message boards. Sorry. Mailing list is your best way to get answers from me. - - Thanh Aidan Dickson wrote on 08/06/2004 7:54 AM: | Message Dear Sir/Madam. | | A quick question regarding ActiveLock 2.
