#19 unplug events come later when plugging in

I'm running 2.0.34 as found on Arch Linux. when I run acpi_listen, and pull out the HDMI cable to my monitor, nothing is output. However when I plug the cable in, I get both unplug and plug messages together:

jack/lineout LINEOUT unplug
jack/videoout VIDEOOUT unplug
jack/lineout LINEOUT plug
jack/videoout VIDEOOUT plug

I'm not sure what to make of this, but surely this can't be right?

This is most likely a driver issue.

Try stopping acpid and running kacpimon. That will show you exactly what acpid is seeing.

For systemd:

$ sudo systemctl stop acpid acpid.socket acpid.path
$ sudo kacpimon

Unplug/plug the HDMI cable and see if the notifications are coming in separately as expected or delayed and grouped.
