Hi, I've been trying to get ACPI working on my Sony laptop, but I've had little success. I've tried the following kernel versions (and acpi & pciirq patches) 2.4.18 (vanilla) 2.4.19pre9 (vanilla) These vanilla kernels fail to detect the battery. 2.4.18 + acpi 20020404, 20020503 & 20020517 2.5.17 + acpi 20020522 2.5.18 + acpi 20020529 + pciirq.25 2.5.19 + acpi 20020529 + pciirq.25 (without pcmcia support) All of the above kernels and acpi patches have the same problem where the keyboard will freeze after an acpi query for the battery status, but I can still use the keyboard to turn off power with the Magic SysRq key. -- Jon "You will always find something in the last place you look." |
