All who have troubles with the acpi-20020503 ACPI IRQ routing might be interested in giving pciirq.16.acpi.diff a try - when you select CONFIG_ACPI_PCI_IRQ_ALTERNATE you should get quite similar results to my former stable pciirq patches (i.e. v.12 and v.8). Not selecting CONFIG_ACPI_PCI_IRQ_ALTERNATE generates same results as v.15 Please note that you need a clean acpi-20020503 pci_link.c and pci_irq.c for this, so please diff -R Sam Revitch's patch. A slightly different form of his patch is included in pciirq.16.acpi.diff Dominik ---- v.16 (2002/05/07) x Added "old" [but stable] code of v.14, select "CONFIG_ACPI_PCI_IRQ_ALTERNATE" to enable. x use eisa_set_level_irq instead of copying the code over to pci_link.c x remove panic in derive (Sam Revitch) v.15 (2002/05/05) x add second run through the link device list to properly balance IRQs x do not change pre-enabled IRQs (calling _DIS did not help) x force IRQ to be level-triggered (probably a VIA-chipset-related problem, seen on many systems) complete history and older diffs available at http://www.brodo.de/english/pub/acpi/pci_irq/index.html |
