-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 hi everyone, I'm trying to share an USB printer for my home network. The main and only= server is an old dual pIII with an ASUS CUR-DLS, which fortunately features USB = ports but which unfortunately don't seem to work. modprobing usblp hangs forever without crashing the machine. the error me= ssage suggests fiddling with ACPI but the same happens if I disable ACPI comple= tely, so I supposed this could be an USB problem. Nevertheless, this goes also = to the acpi-devel mailing list. kernel is 2.6.10-grsec. is my hardware broken? I know it's old, but it's supposed to support the = ohci driver, so... it can't be THAT old as far as USB is concerned... any help/tips would be very appreciated. my lspci follows and then some kernel messages: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ gw linux # lspci 0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: ServerWorks CNB20LE Host Bridge (rev 05) 0000:00:00.1 Host bridge: ServerWorks CNB20LE Host Bridge (rev 05) 0000:00:02.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82557/8/9 [Ethernet Pro 100= ] (rev 08) 0000:00:05.0 Ethernet controller: Digital Equipment Corporation DECchip 2= 1142/43 (rev 41) 0000:00:07.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Rage XL (rev= 65) 0000:00:0f.0 ISA bridge: ServerWorks OSB4 South Bridge (rev 4f) 0000:00:0f.1 IDE interface: ServerWorks OSB4 IDE Controller 0000:00:0f.2 USB Controller: ServerWorks OSB4/CSB5 OHCI USB Controller (r= ev 04) 0000:01:02.0 RAID bus controller: Triones Technologies, Inc.
