I recall there was bug reports on this ML about slow -ec-access issue on
Acer Aspire 1520 and ASUS L5D.
I want to know if it is only observed with sbs-cm package? If so, please
test 2.6.12-rc4-mm2 without sbs-cm
package. I just have chance to run 2.6.12-rc4-mm2 with
burst-mode-ec-patch on a Acer aspire 1520 today.
And it looks just ok.

I've sent an email about the EC confusion I had with an Acer Aspire 1613lmi.
I have a few updates.
First, kernel 2.6.12-rc2-mm2 doesn't show the EC confusion problem. However
with this kernel when I resume from S3 the laptop just reboots. I replace
the wakeup.S of kernel 2.6.12-rc2-mm2 with the one in kernel 2.6.7. With
this new wakeup code, the laptop doesn't reboot, but the ethernet card
doesn't work afterwards. I get some WATCHDOG errors.
I still want to try to find out exaclty which line in the wakeup.S code
makes the laptop reboot.
