I have problems with ipw2100 when I use acpi for IRQ routing. I don't know if
it's a acpi bug or a ipw2100 bug, so I write to both lists.
The problem occurs after S3 resume, the system is an Acer Travelmate 803.
System information is attached. The system works like a charm after resume if
ipw2100 is not loaded. When loading ipw2100(version 0.48), acpi comlains that
no one cared about IRQ11(the irq of the ipw card) and IRQ 10, which is not
used by the wlan card, but used by many other devices. Both irqs are disabled
I tried with 2.6.7+acpi patch+the patch from acpi bug 2643 and 2.6.7-mm7+ bug
With 2.6.7, the system crashes with "Disabling IRQ # 11", 2.6.7-mm7 is still
running afterwards, but in a pretty unuseable state. The provided dmesg is
from 2.6.7-mm7, having ipw2100 loaded when suspending. If it's not loaded,
the system works fine until I load it.
Passing pci=noacpi makes ipw2100 resume correctly, but the system is quite
unstable and many devices tend to crash due to irq problems. The same problem
also occurs when using ndiswrapper.
I don't know if it's an acpi or ipw2100 problem. On the one hand the problem
occurs with ipw2100 and ndiswrapper, on the other hand the system works
really fine without ipw2100. I don't know how much the linux and windows ipw
driver have in common.
Thanks in advance,
