here is my report on my Compaq Evo N150.
With 2.4.18 + N150bug patch + swsusp (reiserfs root partition)
AC : OK
button : OK
fan : OK (can be set on & off ; see below)
processor : can't change throttling nor power state
thermal_zone : OK
battery : infos OK but 'last full capacity' (stated as hight as 64507 mAh)
and 'remaining capacity' (64507 mAh) and 'present rate' (24158 mA)
(so batt level is not known)
But when I use this kernel, the CPU temp can rise (doing nothing special) to
more than 100C, and the fan does not automatically turns on (that gave me
some 'sueurs froides'). And the 'normal' temperature cannot be set below 56C
(I mean, doing nothing with fan speed set to hight).
Swsusp suspend OK (from console). Resumed once OK, but the return to X hang
the mouse and keyboard.
Sleep "3" just blak the screen : reboot requiered.
NB : I tried a vanilla 2.5.24 yesterday, but I have problems booting with it
Jeff, what is your kernel configuration, and have you an ACPI working better
than mine ?

If the kernel hangs during initialization of the IDE devices (hda, hdc
etc), you should try Dominik Brodowski's pciirq v.26 patch. You can get
it from http://www.brodo.de/english/pub/acpi/pci_irq/.
