It'd be great if I could order my open-ended tasks:
Since I use Ackertodo to keep track of my personal
projects (e.g. DIY, Shopping lists, project ideas,
birthday reminders, software bugs, webpage ideas, etc),
most of my tasks are "Open-ended" (i.e. I don't want to
set myself a deadline). However my tasks usually need
to follow an ordering because one task will depend upon
another. For example, one task might be "Paint kitchen
wall", and another "Hang pictures on kitchen wall"
(where task 1 needs to be done before task 2).
Crude ordering can be achieved by setting the priority
of pressing tasks higher than less-pressing tasks. But
this doesn't work when the list of tasks gets quite long.
What I'm really looking for is two little buttons on
the "show tasks" list that enable me to move tasks up
or down a list so that I can order the tasks so that
the most-pressing one is at the top of the list.
This would make Ackertodo suitable for actual project
planning (although sub-tasks would also be desirable
for project planning).
I have another idea that might be a good substitute for
task ordering:
It'd be nice to make changing a tasks priority a little
easier. On the "show tasks" list screen, Instead of
showing the priority in text ("undefined", "low",
"medium", "high"), there could be 3 greyed-out icons
and one coloured icon. The coloured icon shows the
current priority of the task and the greyed out icon
give the user the opportunity to change priority with
one click.

I know that technical issues are a huge barrier but
that shouldn't stop us dreaming about functionality.
