Hi, as I can see, it is compatible with 15 inch Apple Studio Display. But, I cut the ADC cable and soldered a standard DVI cable. Monitor works fine with GNU+Linux operating system.

As I understand, ADC cable also contains USB line which is used to control the monitor (at least, this was the situation with older models). It might well be the case that after re-wiring to DVI you lost the USB line and are unable to control it.
