There is a new version of ASM on the way. I have chosen to start the project over from scratch because there are certain features that I feel it needs that are impossible with the current architecture. The biggest new feature will be a network abstraction layer, allowing different services to run on different servers. This approach more accurately reflects real world situations, in which services are separated for stability and performance. Email, DNS, FTP, and Web services can be run on different, same, or any mix/combination of servers.
