The audio and video machines will freeze on a fairly
regular basis while running the RC2 linux software
(redhat-2001-0614-0732. When the audio machine freezes
it forms a continuous loop on the last few words
spoken. We have experience this problem on both our
production node in 5239BI and our portable node. I
can't yet validate this, but the freezes seem to be
triggered by events on the display machine. For
example, closing out the resource manager on the
display machine without first killing the resource
manager on the audio machine will cause the audio
machine to hang. Although it may be just coincidence
that this has happened a couple of time. I'm going to
experiment more with this.
The other thing I've notice is the longer the Node
runs the more buffer memory it uses. At start of a
session it's using about 80mb and by the end of an
hour session it's 300mb. Shared memory usage also
increases, but not nearly as much.

Below is some output info from our portable node audio
machine.
