Java 6 is going to be EOL this September/October. Eric had to deploy CSS on Java 7 because of IT requirements there. Java 7 for Mac has been released, so that's not a stopper anymore. So, yeah, we should at least make sure everything runs under Java 7. In a few months we can start depending on it...
