Fedora has been carrying this patch for a while, and I'd like to see it upstream so all distros can benefit.

This is a clean-up of the snprintf so that the glibc FORTIFY_SOURCE macros can calculate things correctly.

Sorry, wrong patch/description. This is for _recognizing_ the FORTIFY_SOURCE targets in glibc.
