I saw exact same problem when running the abbot testcase on Linux remotely. The problem comes from the API Mouse.selectComboBoxValue(String, Widget, String).
It did not happen on the remote desktop running Windows.

I saw exact same problem when running the abbot testcase on Linux

Hi,
I was trying to use the API Mouse.selectComboBoxValue(String,
Widget, String) to select an item from a Combobox on Linux but most of the
time it picks the wrong item. The code works fine on Windows.
Anyone experienced the same problem and knew any workaround?

I just tried to convert one of my Abbot tests from junit 3 to junit 4, but
it looks like the tests are getting invoked on the UI thread:

After playing around a bit, I thought maybe... just maybe, CTabItems are
not necessarily "visible" and therefore can't be found using a Matcher
that insists on matching Widgets to be visible. Crazy as it sounds, that
actually seems to be the case. If you use WidgetText2Matcher with "false"
for the visible parameter, you will be able to find CTabItems that are
(from a human's point of view) visible and clickable.
Obviously, this is a weird hack as we don't want code that says "click the
invisible widget" hanging around, but I'm not entirely sure what is the
right way to handle this. I noticed that CTabItem has an isShowing()
method which is either an unlikely API misnomer for isVisible(), or an
indication that "showing" is not quite the same idea as being "visible".
CTabItems are kind of strange in that they have the ability to run off the
edge of things (think of an editor that has more tabs than it has width to
show) and this might be the distinction that makes the idea of "showing"
necessarily separate from "visible". It's just a guess.
Anyway, I babbling... Ultimately, WidgetMatcher should probably be made to
work with CTabItems to know whether they are visible enough to be clicked,
which would make Dane's original code (with the "true" parameter for
visibility) work as expected.

Have you tried Screen.findAllWidgets(CTabItem.class, shell)?
I haven't personally used CTabItems, but I am able to find
all kinds widgets using the above mentioned API.

Yes, I agree. The utility code I wrote was just an expedient short term
solution. When I next get some spare time I'll try and go back over what I

I can see the CTabItem in the widget hierarchy, but I cannot get ahold of it. Maybe this is a bug in abbot? Hi,
I'm trying to drive the import wizard to import existing projects from an
archive file, but after clicking the Finish button I'm getting a dialog
titled "Wizard Closing" with the message "Wizard can not be closed due to
an active operation. You must cancel the operation before you can close the
wizard."
If I run the PDE target and perform the steps manually I never see this
dialog. I've tried adding delays before invoking the wizard, and between
the individual steps in the wizard, but to no avail. The problem occurs
every time and doesn't seem to be timing sensitive. I'm at a bit of a loss
- any suggestions?
