nodes in a JTree are not components.  use a TreePath to select a 
particular path; in a script you can refer to a path like "[root, 
parent, child]"; first make the path visible, then you can perform some 
action on it.

for example:

actionMakeVisible("treeid", "[root, parent, child]")
actionShowPopupMenu("treeid", "[root, parent, child]")
