Hi,

Finally I'm fine with overriding mouseMove(Component, int, int) which is public, but to do so, I need to call waitForComponent that is private, if that one could be made protected final instead, I would be fine.

Thanks.

I want to call the higher-level version either directly or indirectly via other higher-level methods in Robot, but when the lower-level mouseMove(int, int) is then called, I want to override its behavior.

In my case, want I to do at that point is to "smooth" the moseMouve, i.e. transform it in a series of smaller mouseMove.

You can infer that what I'm doing is some kind of animation and not UI testing ;)

Hey,

Can you just tell me a little bit more about what you want to do? This sounds reasonable, I just want to check your usecase isn't better served in a different way.

Hi,

I come back with a small feature request in Robot : change the signature of method 'mouseMove(int, int)' from private to protected.

Let me know if there is any issues for doing so.

Thanks
