#5 Support for Win32 Cedocida DV codec

On December 2 2005, Josh Harris emailed me a patch to
the AAF SDK to support the Cedocida DV Codec v0.16
under WIN32. Josh's comments on his patch were:

"With my modifications, the AAF library compiles and
"ExportDV.exe -legacyDV" seems to create a valid DV AAF
file that opens in Avid Xpress Pro."

It is not likely for this patch to ever be included in
the AAF SDK since work is underway to replace use of
the libdv codec with ffmpeg' libavcodec. The
advantages are that ffmpeg builds painlessly on Win32
in addition to POSIX platforms, and ffmpeg supports
MPEG-2 encoding and decoding and will shortly support

The original Cedocida DV Codec is available at
http://www-user.rhrk.uni-kl.de/~dittrich/cedocida/ but
Josh modified this to avoid a reference to a missing
include file, changing a typedef "char" to "signed
char" and compiling it as a static lib instead of a
dll. This modification is included as an attachment.

This patch has been rejected in favour of current work on
using ffmpeg's libavcodec to provide a consistent
    cross-platform codec library supporting DV25, DV50, MPEG-2
    and other codecs.
