I have successfully built the AAF2XML utility on OSX. Currently there are only two switches available to the command line input.
-xml and -ss.
I am using some simple tools to transform the XML into a more useful format for my use using XSL. Unfortunately i am getting quite a few errors when attempting to transform the file . It looks like these are mostly related to the formatting of individual node or element values and the use of Colons in element names and id values.
Are there any additional output switches that I can test to simplify the output?
Additionally are there any known internal xsl transformations to simplify the output.
There is nothing that will simplify the output.
The xml it reads and writes is as specified by the schema. The program is quite simple. It just loads the full aaf file into memory and dumps the objects and then saves it back to disk using a different encoding. The underlying software the is responsible for the encodings has no options that would change its behavior as far as I'm aware.
Im now letting xsl do the transform work required.
