Strangely, bulk.mbox and junk.mbox are not mbox format.
They lack a correct initial From line.

This makes reading them very difficult (whereas a simple mailer could almost do it conveniently).

    I could not verify what you describe. What MTA are you
    using? Can I see the first lines of your bulk.mbox or junk.mbox?

    I usually use "nullmailer" which is a basic SMTP forwarder, but I guess the right answer in this case is "none", since I use:
    fetchmail -> ASK -> rc_bulkmailbox = ${HOME}/bulk.mbox

    All messages there start with these headers :

    Return-Path: <info@CANIVO.com>
    Delivered-To: online.fr-Marc.Herbert@free.fr
    Received: from imap.free.fr [212.27.42.8]
    blablablah

    Painfully adding a carefully crafted From line fixes the issue.
