System Color Picker is a macOS app that expands Apple’s familiar system color picker with faster workflows for designers and developers. It can sample colors from anywhere on screen and keep a history of recently picked values. Colors can be copied, pasted, and converted among Hex, HSL, RGB, Unit RGB, OKLCH, LCH, and CMYK. The app includes palette management, ASE and Simple Color Palette imports, and access from either a normal window or the menu bar. Global shortcuts can trigger picking or toggle the window, and the app can stay above other windows. It also supports Apple Shortcuts and a custom URL scheme for automation. The GitHub repository no longer contains the app source, although the app remains actively developed.
